I have notice over the last few years how the juniors coming through are all wearing helmets while they are batting. They were never around when I was young fella, always trying to keep up with the times I thought I would give it a try and bat with one. I place it on and pulled the strap up nice and tight. I felt so confident that at any short pitched ball would not get through my protective armour I yelled out “rip it in short”. I will out of action for a few days or until the swelling goes down.
